Terms and conditions

Please read carefully.

My goal is to ensure that all clients are pleased with their finished orders.

Payment: In most cases, the project is based on an hourly rate (please see “Services and Pricing” page). I will provide you with an estimate at the beginning of the project. I require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the ESTIMATED final cost to be paid at the beginning of the project. For projects requiring 20 + hours, I require an additional 30% of the ESTIMATED cost half way through. The remaining costs should paid in full upon completion of the project. I will send you an invoice through PayPal at each stage.

Shipping costs: The client is responsible for all shipping costs. If you receive your finished piece, and it requires some adjustments, I will pay for shipping returns. Payment for alterations is dependent on each specific work.

Supplies: I will provide all needles and notions required to complete your piece. Clients are responsible for the costs of all yarn and any additional accessories (buttons, beads, etc.). I am happy to provide the following options:

If you have your own yarn, or you are reclaiming yarn from your favorite sweater, simply contact me regarding how to deliver it.

IF I happen to have extra yarn in my stash - that is fitting for your project, I will provide it free of charge. All knitters are looking to de-stash - and if I can save you some money, I am happy to do so.

Leftover yarn from the project will be retuned to the client along with the finished piece or will be donated to a charity knitting group, at the client’s request.

Timing: This is a tricky one. I will give you an estimated time frame for completion of the project upon placing your order. I try to be as realistic as possible, and I will promise to keep contact with you as the project progresses. However, on the very rare occasion that a project may takes longer than anticipated, I will notify you as soon as possible if there will be a delay and you will have the option of canceling your order with a refund for the “work” portion of the deposit. I will return the yarn to you as well, though I cannot provide a monetary refund for that. I am very careful in providing you with an accurate time frame, as I know that sometimes these ordered items are gifts needed for specific dates.

If you have read these terms and conditions and are in agreement, let’s get started! If you have any additional questions, please contact me.
